Overwatch - A.I Rules Update
So when I created the A.I for the game, I wrote it all into one large section and devided it up into smaller sections corresponding to each miniature. At the time this was good, as all the rules needed to be written down fast before I forgot them, but also it is good for a quick reference for me as I already know most of the rules.
For anyone else who is acquired the game and wishes to learn it however, this massive list of rules and behaviour could seem a very daunting thing to understand, so this system could possibly use an update to make it more manageable.


Probably the best thing I could do would be to remove the two large rule sections from the game and instead condense them into smaller cards, 1 for each A.I unit. The front of the card would display an image of the unit which it controls, whereas all the rules for how it behaves would go on the back. This would make finding the rules for a specific unit MUCH easier to locate and if the rules are divided further into smaller sections such as ‘Movement’, ‘Attacking’ ect. , then individual rules for the unit will become even easier to understand.
I could also use this method for the A.I spawning rules as well. At certain parts of the game, the units spawn in a very particular way and so making this easier to grasp for the player will make game flow a little quicker (even I sometimes get confused at the rules, and I created them!!! So clearly they are not very good xD)
